1 EIB/KNX bus connector unit (TUL) {image:http://busware.de/show_image.php?id=260&nocount=y} I am really happy and excited to have been involved by {link:busware.de|http://www.busware.de} in the development of this very tiny but very powerful EIB bus connector unit ({link:TUL|http://busware.de/tiki-index.php?page=TUL}). The TUL allows a connected PC to communicate with the EIB bus over USB. A powerful AVR microcontroller on the TUL allow developer to design their own dreams. Using the microcontroller pins over a connector hardware designer will be able to develop own EIB actors. Also a rapid prototyping is easily possible. 1.1 Firmware At the moment a transparent tpuart firmware (standard LUFA) is available, which enbles the usage of the TUL as a TPUART modem. This firmware allows TUL to be used by {link:EIBD|http://www.auto.tuwien.ac.at/~mkoegler/index.php/eibd} and natively by FHEM (see below). It is intended to develop a new firmware with FT12 protocol support.
